Wildlife Patients:

Our gate is open for sick, injured, or orphaned wild patients 7 days a week. We may occasionally close during other hours, for extraordinary circumstances, or shorten hours for holidays. After hours drop off for injured and orphaned wildlife is available at the front gate between 5PM and 7:30AM. The drop off site is checked multiple times throughout the evening and night. We have staff members on call 24/7 who will pick up the animal after hours for care. If you feel the animal is in need of more immediate attention please call Animal Control at
772-463-3211 to let them know you are dropping the animal off, as they can pick up the animal from your location. Some animals may carry diseases such as rabies, distemper, or other parasites and should not be touched. Proper medical treatment could be necessary if you are scratched, bitten, or in other contact with bodily fluids. Please call our office during business hours at 772-286-6200 if you have questions.

Please keep patients warm, dark and quiet overnight. A cardboard box is excellent for most animals. Also, while you may offer (do NOT force) water, please do not feed the animal. Improper diets are more dangerous than lack of food. Bring the animal to us at your first opportunity during business hours, or use our after hours drop-off.
